Kathy Lavinder has more than 17 years of experience identifying and placing high level security managers and related personnel. Lavinder’s clients have included corporations, financial institutions, accounting firms, law firms, consulting firms, academic institutions, insurance companies, healthcare organizations, NGOs and non-profits in the U.S. and internationally. Lavinder turned to recruiting after working in corporate investigations and journalism. As an investigator and manager with Investigative Group International Lavinder directed a team of investigators, security, and research specialists working on long-running, multifaceted engagements including security audits, internal investigations, thefts of intellectual property, anti-competitive practices and anti-trust litigation matters, as well as due diligence and fraud investigations. Before that Lavinder was with ABC News in New York as a writer/producer and a manager. Prior to ABC, Lavinder was News Director of WBZ Radio in Boston and was a television reporter and anchor in Roanoke, Virginia. Lavinder has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a Master’s degree from Georgetown University. Lavinder is regularly quoted in national publications on security and talent acquisition issues. She is an active member and volunteer of ASIS International where she serves as the career expert in the ASIS Career Center.

David McAllister currently serves as the Regional Vice President of Human Resources for Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. Shortly after graduating from college, he joined the New Castle County Police Department in 1991 and was eventually appointed Chief of Police. David oversaw the merger of the Police, Paramedics and Fire into one single agency. In 2006, David became the new Chief of Police of Bluffton/Hilton Head Island. Taking over a department suffering through corruption scandals, he quickly grew the agency into a modern department that received National Accreditation. After his 21 year in Law Enforcement, Dave retired to move and accepted a position with Securitas. David holds a M.S., Human Resource Management from Wilmington University and M.S., Justice Administration from the University of Louisville.

Bryan Weisbard, CPA, CFE, is Head of Security Analysis, Investigations & Business Continuity at Twitter. In this capacity, Weisbard's team identifies, analyzes, and mitigates risks posed to the company from a corporate/physical security perspective. Weisbard also leads all business continuity and crisis management functions globally. Prior to joining Twitter, Weisbard served in a variety of roles with the U.S. Government, both in the Washington D.C. area and overseas. Weisbard holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami, and a Certificate in Forensic Accounting from Georgetown University. Weisbard is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Weisbard is a member of the CSO Center for Leadership & Development, the Pacific Council on International Policy, and serves as President of the Board of Directors for Up On Top School Program, a 501(c)(3) charity providing free educational programs to children from low-income families.

Matthew Wombacher, CPP, serves as the Acting Director of the National Infrastructure Coordinating Center. The National Infrastructure Coordinating Center (NICC) is the dedicated 24/7 coordination and information sharing operations center that maintains situational awareness of the nation’s critical infrastructure for the federal government. When an incident or event affecting critical infrastructure occurs and requires coordination between the Department of Homeland Security and the owners and operators of our nation’s infrastructure, the NICC serves as that information sharing hub to support the security and resilience of these vital assets. The NICC is part of the National Protection and Programs Directorate's Office of Infrastructure Protection and the DHS National Operations Center. Mr. Wombacher’ s previous roles include the Protective Security Coordination Division Field Operations Branch Chief, Deputy Branch Chief and Planning and Operations Chief, and five years as the PSA for the National Capitol Region. While assigned to the Protective Security Coordination Division, Mr. Wombacher lead coordination and operations efforts that included support for field deployed staff and headquarters support elements. In his duties he planned and led a wide range of vulnerability reduction activities in all U.S. states and territories. Mr. Wombacher was the lead Critical Infrastructure Planner for the 2013 Presidential Inauguration and multiple other nationally significant special events. Mr. Wombacher also serves as the primary liaison point for international engagements for the office. Prior to becoming a PSA, Mr. Wombacher served in the United States Secret Service (USSS) for nine years. Mr. Wombacher served in the Technical Security Division within the USSS which operates as the focal point regarding countermeasures for environmental threats to USSS protected persons and facilities. This routinely involved domestic and worldwide travel as a member of Presidential Advance teams. Mr. Wombacher served 10 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Marine Corps. Highlights include selection for duty assignment to the Presidential Honor Guard and serving as Aircraft Navigator onboard the HC-130H long range aircraft. Mr. Wombacher is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and the United Secret Service Training Academy and holds additional professional certification from the ASIS International organization as a Certified Protection Professional. Mr. Wombacher is one of three U.S. members to have completed the United Kingdom Police Search Advisor (POLSA) and Security Coordinator (SECCO) courses from the United Kingdom’s Police Staff College and the Police National Search Centre.

Mike Howard, Chief Security Officer for Microsoft Corporation, holds global responsibility for vital security functions including; operations, investigations, risk mitigation, crisis management, executive protection, security technology, strategy, intelligence, and employee awareness. Mike led development of Microsoft’s interconnected Global Security Operations Centers (GSOCs), as well as the transition to Virtual Security Operation Centers (VSOCs). These Operations Centers oversee monitoring and response, and have become well known in the security field as a leading model for conducting operations globally. Mike contributes to numerous industry organizations, including: ASIS CSO Center; International Security Management Association; Security Industry Association; U.S. State Department Overseas Security Advisory Council. Mike spent 22 years with the Central Intelligence Agency, finishing as Chief of Station.

Mark Landry is the Sr. Mgr. of Corporate Strategic Security for FedEx Freight. In this role, Landry provides strategic guidance to the entire FXF Security Organization and continues to lead their metric-based approach to Security. Landry also leads the teams overseeing Contract Security and Electronic Security. Landry has been with FedEx 16 years in varying roles. Landry holds a bachelor’s degree from York College of Pennsylvania and two master’s degrees, an MBA from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL and Master’s of Science Degree in Security Organization and Management from Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE.

Nick Lovrien is the Chief Global Security Officer at Facebook responsible for the overall leadership of Facebook’s Global Security Organization committed to enabling the business while protecting the people, assets and reputation of Facebook's family of companies to include; Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Oculus, Building 8 and Nick previously served as a CounterTerrorism Operations Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency and held a number of leadership roles with Target Corporation prior to joining Facebook. Nick is a member of numerous professional security organizations to include ASIS International, The CSO Center for Leadership and Development and the Information Systems Security Association.

Anders Noyes started his career with Pacifica Police Department, a city just south of San Francisco, and spent 12 years there serving various functions including patrol, investigations, court liaison, community liaison, field training officer, and served as Watch Commander prior to retiring. The next 18 years have been spent as a Corporate Director of Security for a variety of organizations including Sony Corporation both in San Francisco and New York for 3 years, The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco for 3 years, and the last 12 plus years leading the security organization for Skywalker Properties. Anders has global responsibility for security of operations in facilities located in the US, western Europe, and Asia. Board certified as a Certified Protection Professional through the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and a contributing member to the Association for Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).

James C. Reynolds, CPP, CLSD, is the Director of Safety and Security Operations for the Chicago Cubs. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a Military Police Officer. James is a Graduate of Radford University with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice, a member of ASIS International, a member of the CSO Center for Leadership and Development, is board certified in security management as a Certified Protection Professional, is a Certified Hotel Security Director through the American Hotel and Lodging Association, the former Chairman of ASIS’s Hospitality, Entertainment and Tourism Security Council, the former President of the Chicago Hospitality, Entertainment and Tourism Security Association, a member of the Life Safety Council, and a member of the Young Professionals Council

Don Taussig, CPP, is the Director of Global Security Services at Land O'Lakes, Inc. His experience includes more than 30 years of executive leadership and consulting in the areas of corporate security, law enforcement, investigations and international operations. He retired from the U.S. Army’s Military Police Corps in 1996 and from the U.S. Civil Service in 2011. One highlight of Don’s career was his appointment as a Director of Security in the Executive Office of the President. Don’s other notable roles included serving as a Special Agent in Charge for Executive Protection for the NATO Commander and as Security Officer with U.S. Department of State.

Richard “Rich” Widup, Jr., CPP, CFE, is most recently Associate Director within the Global Corporate Security team at Mead Johnson Nutrition where is responsible for all security related matters in North America and Europe. Prior to joining Mead Johnson, he was Senior Director, Corporate Security at Purdue Pharma L.P. While at Purdue he was responsible for brand protection matters where he pioneered innovative strategies and programs to protect Purdue’s brands as well as to reduce the incidences of pharmacy crime. Before joining Purdue, Richard was the Director, Americas Region for Pfizer Global Security. At Pfizer he had responsibility for all security related matters in the Western Hemisphere, including oversight of brand protection matters involving the counterfeiting, tampering, theft and diversion of Pfizer products. Mr. Widup has 27 years of law enforcement experience, previously serving as a Special Agent with the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) and with the Office of Criminal Investigations for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). While at FDA, Richard investigated offenses that involved violations of federal law, to include the counterfeiting, diversion and tampering of foods and medicines. He also supervised FDA's polygraph program and served as the FDA-OCI representative on the Permanent Forum on International Pharmaceutical Crime, an international law enforcement network established to develop and exchange information regarding the challenges associated with global pharmaceutical counterfeiting. Rich is a Past President and former Chairman of the Board for ASIS International, the world’s largest organization dedicated to the advancement of security training, standards and certifications. Prior to his Presidency, Rich served on the ASIS Board of Directors, as a Council Vice President and as Chair of the Transportation Security Council. Rich currently serves on the ASIS International Food Defense and Agriculture Security Council. This Council is responsible for helping to develop best practices and programs to support food and agriculture safety and security. A graduate of the Advanced Detective Training course at Scotland Yard, he also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Public Administration.

Kevin Wilson is a Senior Director for Global Security and Risk with the Asurion Corporation. Kevin leads the Physical Security, Crisis Response, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity efforts for this US multi-national company. Kevin began consulting with US companies around global security issues while employed as Deputy Sheriff and SWAT Team Leader in Missouri. Upon retiring from the Sheriff’s Department as a Lieutenant shortly after September 11, 2001, Kevin moved to positions of ever increasing responsibility providing him with “on the ground” experience in more than 60 countries on 6 continents. He has directed investigations involving kidnap for ransom, hostage recovery, extortion, intellectual property theft and many others. Kevin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and an MBA from Lindenwood University.

Yan Byalik, CPP, is the Security Administrator for the City of Newport News. He has worked in the security industry since 2001, in roles from security officer to security manager. Yan has written several book reviews for Security Management Magazine, and co authored two articles for Campus Safety Magazine. Yan has taught as a campus security officer instructor for several years. Yan is the ARVP for ASIS Region 5A.

Robert A. Carotenuto is Associate Vice President for Security at The New York Botanical Garden. Prior to joining The Garden, he was a member of The Metropolitan Museum of Art Security team for sixteen years, serving as Associate Security Manager for Physical Security and Emergency Operations from 2004-2010. He is the ASIS Cultural Properties Council Chair and serves as Security Committee Vice Chair for the American Alliance of Museums. Robert holds an MS in Protection Management from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Security, Fire, and Emergency Management, and an MS in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College.

Brittany Balli is currently the Chief Success Officer at mobotour - the most powerful mobile workforce reporting product in the security and facilities sectors. As the CSO, she is entrusted to build and run the most innovative business model on the planet while ensuring fiscal responsibility. Specialties in her role include: creative organization, process re-engineering and laser bottom line focus to all things operationally. Brittany came to mobotour five years ago when asked to manage operations and finances and has helped to grow the company by 2x, 3x, and now to 5x growth in 3 years. Prior to mobotour, she held roles leadership roles as a program management and management consulting for fortune 500 firms such as E*TRADE financial services bank and brokerage. Brittany graduated from the Eberhardt School of Business at University of the Pacific with a degree in Finance and a certified PMP. She's a member of ASIS International, the committee chair for annual seminar and programs for the Woman in Security Council and the technology and social chair for the Broward County ASIS Chapter in Florida. Britany currently resides in south Florida, loves to travel the globe frequently and enjoys sharing her vision of how the world can blend mobile technology to run a streamlined business process and increase the bottom line.

David Gibbs, CPP, Principal with Exante360. Mr. Gibbs has for over forty years been a guest lecturer at conferences domestically and internationally. During his career he has successfully helped people expand skills, leadership and knowledge. His latest assignment is the lead for a new ASIS International initiative, “The Next Generation Commissin Study Group.” He is a contributing author to the “Mentoring Security Leader” program, has served as a ASIS International Council Vice President. Has served two terms as Vice President ASIS Foundation, Council Chairman, Ethics & Standards and Strategic Planning advisory groups and has been responsible for various regional and chapter and industry leadership roles including the U.S. Olympic Advisory Committee. He is Board Certified in Security Management and has the designation of a CPP.

Tim Kelly, PSP, joined Integrated Security and Communications (ISC) in the summer of 2017 as their Marketing and Business Development Associate. In this role, he leads their business development, new client acquisition, marketing, and communications initiatives. Before joining ISC, Tim spent five years with Tutela Security Solutions where he was responsible for managing the marketing operations and revenue growth for the company’s national accounts program. Prior to Tutela, Tim was the principal and managing director at Declan Consulting, a firm that focused on business strategy consulting through targeted messaging and marketing solutions, organizational management, and business process analysis. While at Declan Consulting, Tim helped launch start-up enterprises and guided distressed companies through tough economic climates. Tim began his career in the telecommunications industry, where he held several key positions and managed global sales strategy for Fortune 500 clients, across a multitude of vertical markets for Verizon Business. In addition to his responsibilities at ISC, Tim is an adjunct professor of marketing and economics at Concordia College in New York. He is a member of the Global Security Risk Management Alliance and was a contributing author of the white paper Security Governance; A Critical Component to Managing Security Risk. Tim is also a member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), where he holds a Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification. He is the former president of the New York City Chapter of The University of Connecticut Alumni Association. He earned an M.B.A. from The University of Connecticut School of Business and was inducted into The University of Connecticut Hall of Fame that same year he earned his degree. Tim also holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Concordia College. A military veteran, Tim served in the United States Air Force, during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Michael Brzozowski, PSP, CPP, is a Risk & Compliance Manager at Symcor with a primary focus on physical security system design, procurement, implementation, life-cycle management, along with strategic direction and governance concerning Symcor's physical security posture. Brzozowski provides subject matter expertise on projects, due diligence activities, investigations, and finally internal as well as client facing audit activities. Brzozowski obtained his educational values from Humber College in the field of Business Administration, and continued his core education by obtaining the Physical Security Professional (PSP), and Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditations from ASIS International. In addition to his professional experience, Brzozowski has also been recognized as a thought leader through his involvement as the Vice-Chair of the ASIS Toronto Chapter, a member of the ASIS Professional Certification Board, and as Co-Chair of the ASIS Young Professionals Council. These achievements have garnerd Brzozowski a recent nomination to join the "Security System News" Top 20 Under 40 class of 2016.

Jeffrey C. (“J.C.”) Dodson is the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for BAE Systems plc., London, England and Vice President, Cybersecurity for BAE Systems Inc., Arlington, Virginia. BAE Systems is a global defense, aerospace, and security company with over 88,000 employees in more than 40 countries and $27 billion in annual sales. He is responsible for corporate cybersecurity strategy, policies, and operations. In 2014, Dodson was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to the Commonwealth’s Cybersecurity Commission. In 2012, he was appointed to the U.S. Government’s National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee. He is the former chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association’s Industrial Security Committee. He serves on the FBI’s National Security Business Alliance Council and ASIS’s Defense and Intelligence Council.

Eduard Emde is a seasoned and senior security professional who has been working in the international private security sector for more than 20 years. During his career he held both consultancy and managerial roles with major companies, including KPMG, ABN-AMRO, European Space Agency, and Interseco. Eduard, who holds academic qualifications in Business Administration, Dutch Law, and Organisational Analysis and Behaviour, brings with him a wealth of experience as well as an extensive global network. Throughout his career he dedicated himself to growing security professionalism globally. He served on the board of national and international security associations, and was the first non-US President of ASIS International in 2012.

Tim McCreight, CPP, CISSP, CISA, is the Director, Strategic Alliances at Hitachi Systems Security. Prior to joining Hitachi, Tim was the Director of Enterprise Information Security at Suncor Energy and the Chief Information Security Officer for the Government of Alberta. Tim has over 35 years’ experience in physical and IT security, and has held senior security management positions in a variety of organizations. He has overseen the development and implementation of a risk-based, business focused approach to information security, including Suncor and the Government of Alberta. He has his Master of Science in Security and Risk Management, has attained his CPP, CISSP and CISA, and is a member of the Board of Directors for ASIS International.

Mr. Tyson has Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Digital Technology Management, is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and is Board Certified in Security Management, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Dave is frequent speaker at conferences and education events in North and South America, ASIA and Europe. He has published dozens or articles in industry magazines and published the first book on Security Convergence via Butterworth Heinemann: Security Convergence: Managing Enterprise Security Risk.
